The experience of working with Ed Coombs proved to be an invaluable first step in building our dream home. As first time home builders, the whole process was initially very intimidating and overwhelming for us, however Ed has made it a very exciting and enjoyable experience. We began with a preliminary plan along with a wish list of features, and Ed was able to incorporate all of our needs and desires into a very creative, functional and simply beautiful design. He always demonstrated ingenuity and attention to detail, and also really challenged us to help identify what we really wanted. Ed helped refine our ideas and provided us with very useful advice and tools to use as we move into the next phase; from providing us with a building schedule to discussing light fixtures and interior wall colors. We are so thankful for Ed’s amazing talent, and we truly love our design!

We met Ed Coombs from EC designs as we were planning to build a home. From the moment we met Ed our family felt at ease as Ed patiently listened to all of our thoughts regarding what we wanted in our home. He sketched our thoughts on paper and went back and forth until we all were convinced that the design reflected our dreams. Ed’s pleasant personality and ability to listen, attention to smallest details made it very easy to work with him. Our children were always excited to see him so that they could tell what they wanted their rooms to be like. Once the blue prints were ready , we requested Ed to be the project consultant as we were building our home our selves. He agreed to that and over a period of 18 months he really became a member of the family. He assisted with finding contractors, negotiating contracts, overseeing the work, assisting with procuring supplies or whatever help we needed. Not even once we heard him say” this is not part of my work.” I think this really sums up our experience of working with him. In one word if I have to say I will say it was excellent.
